Curious if anyone has any tips for the approach to Panty Wall. I've heard it can be sketchy if you aren't familiar with the approach.

I've been there once and can't even remember the approach. We didn't get lost and I don't remember being scared. If you start soloing, getting back down is sort of involved FWIW.

Approach from below and left (as you're looking at it), 2nd class the whole way as I recall.

About how long of an approach, if you can recall?

10 minute approach. Is this for real? It's one of the easiest approaches I've done in RR.

From what I remember, it's more like a 15 minute approach. I get lost pretty easy and even I was able to find my way up to the Panty Wall a few times.

I read an article where a climber talked about quite an ordeal getting to this wall, that's why I thought I'd ask... just in case.

You'd probably have to be pretty dumb to f it up.

1. Look at wall from parking lot
2. pick most likely trail and walk towards wall on it
3. Repeat step 2 until the wall is reached.

10 minutes.

The Panty Wall is easily seen from the parking lot...however, it is common for people to mix up the Panty Wall and the Tuna and Chips Wall. When those who go to Tuna and Chips discover their mistake, correcting it may be difficult for those who don't know the area.

The best way to spot the Panty Wall is to identify the largest tree at the base of a wall. This tree is a great landmark to use when you work toward the wall. A second indicator is the black triangular shape of the wall...

From the first pull-out, drop down the trail to where it splits. Take the left-hand trail and climb up hill passing the Tiger Stripe Wall on your right. At the top of the hill continue to follow the main trail until it drops into the drainage. You will almost be underneath the Ultraman Wall when this happens and you will be directly underneath the newly developed wall called the Hamlet. Follow the trail into the drainage and scramble out the other side. Make a U-turn and climb up the slabs toward the tree you spotted from the parking lot. Once at the tree, you're at the wall.
