yes totally, i do divide my firends by climber and non climber, the only shopping i really like is for climbing gear or trips, i subcribed to rock and ice and climbing, and most of my clothes are climbing related, like prana pants and climbing shirts and stuff, walking around my college campus i look at a building and immediately notice the possibilities of climbing it and the routes you would take up it. when talking to someone i will suddenly drop the subject and talk about climbing or how much i feel like climbing, having to apologize all the time for not paying attention to someone b/c i was daydreaming or something like that. i am totally addicted to climbing.

i wish i could say the same thing, but unfortunately i live in the flat lands of louisiana, and live on campus in a dorm, woo flipin hoo. but i did get mad when our last trip got cut short because of rain.

dude you and me are like total sisters, i did the same thing for homecoming, we went to the gym first all dressed up and i shocked like everybody i know especially all my guy climbing friends. they had never seen me in a dress or make up before, it was a riot. here i have a picture

When you get stranded in your car in a town 30 miles from a rock at 10:00 at night with your partner call all the other people you know, finally convice one to leave after work at 11:00. Sleep in your car till 2:00 when he gets there. Drive to the trailhead and hike for an hour and a half to the base of the rock just so you can climb when you first wake up. My Labor Day Weekend Trip

that sounds awesome but exhausting.
- how about running off with your best friend in the world to work on your project route, after you have both been climbing your hearts out all day long at triple crown bouldering series in horse pens in the freezing weather, and after your fingers are wasted and bleeding from pulling hard on slopers and crimps all day, that is my idea of the perfect climbing trip finish to me.... when you are truly addicted i don't think it really matters how good you are or how good you aren't, it only matters that you love it and always want more. those kind of experiences will last a lifetime and the grade dosen't exist. ahh triple crown 2006---good times. i can't wait for this years comp.

yeah i agree. i remember a couple of weeks ago some girls thread from like 2003 was restarted and nobody knew that it was from years ago, and it was about finding climbing areas in india and how she should get started with climbing, she actually saw the post and replied like 5 years later telling people that it was out dated and that she had started climbing and is really into it now and is getting a job as a guide through mountains and stuff.. i thought it was cool.

jeff you're a genius...they just asked me to "Personalize" more my cubicle...I can't care less about action figures or other crap...but a block of granite...maybe an old smelly shoe...with fried slings..I can even turn it into a christmas decoration with a bit of chalk...
genius I say.

Bolt a hanger to the wall and slap a draw on there.
A friend of mine used to have clear grip tape on the home keys of his keyboard to keep his tips hard.

I do believe the local skate shop will be getting a visit from me. As a programmer I'm stuck sitting in front of two monitors in a cube with a window that looks out at the mountains... I have to keep the blinds closed so I don't cry everyday like a caged animal.

You may be addicted to climbing when you have a torn meniscus in each knee in July and you tell the surgeon, "No knee surgery until October, that's the mud season between rock and ice". In addition, when you tell the health care professional that they have 5 weeks to get you back to 110 percent because you're going to Canada. Turns out a good Physical therapist really only needs four weeks to whip you into shape and you're back at it. When you're an addict, it's better to suffer than to miss out on the good stuff.
