Great point, I've seen this feature on a number of bulletin boards that I am a member of. I would also like to see this feature. Furthermore, I would also like to see the "Quote" feature that we have for private messages also on replies to forum posts.

Would help greatly.

Mick

Here it is...

"Admins: I'm sure you're aware of the many high quality BBS out in the market today (no this is not a ploy to get you to change). There is one feature of those boards which I feel would really make the forum almost perfect. It is having the entire thread visable while you're replying to a post. Many times I've been replying, then forgotten what I needed to respond to because it isn't visable. This is the only thing that bothers me.

I'm sure it's an easy coding adjustment. Just embedding the thread into the reply page. Am I wrong? I would assume this is VERY feasble with php, unless php sucks. I've never played with php, so I don't know. It can be done with cgi and html, so why not?

Anyways...just me two cents - $4 + a geniune indian head nickle."

See...same idea. Mine was first though, xeno, I'm better.

what day did you get climbing in there Pianomahnn? Was that on 10-4 over and out day? If so, I dont remember my phone ringing. But the better point is, this Sat marks the begining of the ABS circuit, which I am excited about. I will be in Hobart, IN if anyone wants to come and hang out. Oh yeah, I think it would be nice to see what I am replying too as well.

Thats my wooden nickel that I stole from Pianomahnn when he was working a problem.

when in reply if you scroll down to the end of the page, just under the submit button - click on Topic Review - it will open the topic in another window to allow you to read it

Good job Cass. I didn't even know that feature was there. To help people see this better I moved the link to the top and renamed it from "Topic Review" to "View topic in separate window".

Thanks
