I am planning to head off to Joshua Tree and was curious about the best cracks. What are the best crack climbs up to 5.10d?

Good list, needs some coloring. For example: Illusion Dweller -- long, looks awesome, mostly straightforward and with a big rest before the trickier-than-it-looks crux. I've seen a lot of folks lose their onsight and their dignity at the overhang. Poodles are People -- thin/smearing crux down low. Exorcist -- the crack is easy, short crux on the face above, sometimes done as a first 5.10 lead. Diamond Dogs -- aggro lieback start, easier and varied above that. Rubicon -- I like double-rope technique here, it's two disjointed cracks. O'Kelly's Crack -- this is called 5.10d, but the start seems a bit harder.

Also, two nice short 5.10 thin cracks are the "Mel" cracks. Curt
