Does anybody know how/ where to find out about the water levels/ Dam release squedules. A phone number for the Dam or site on the internet, something like that, anything? Also, how are the bolts/ and anchors on the sport routes? Are they old or reliable or whatever and how many (approx.) bolted routes are there? I went there bouldering years ago just one time and from what I remember, I really liked it and it had lots of potential. I would like to go back but heard the water levels changed and now you can't boulder there. Is that true or just a rumor? Answers to any of these questions would be very appreciated. Thank You! Also, if there is any info. on the routes or a topo. available somewhere or if someone has such info. to share, that would also be greatly appreciated. You can PM me if you need to due to any access issues that may be a consideration. Thanks Again.

from what i know of the area up there theres no sport lines...sunny side boulders or atlantis should be getting out of the water now...but not 100% sure about that....there are alos a few other spots that are good bouldering back there...on the far side of the dam theres bouldering far side if you get into the dam from 940...in total i think there are 5 different spots back there....

The sport lines are located on "The Brown Sugar Wall" There arn't many there though and they are not really sport, just two-bolt lines you can use gear to supplement.

I used to kayak there years ago.. I know the water level used to change really dramatically in as short as a few hours... If you parked maybe 100 yards from the water line, you could come back at noon and find your floorboards inches from getting flooded. They raised the water level a year ago, so you can't park down there anymore.. I didn't climb back then, so I don't have any details on that. I'm sure there's some great bouldering buried under the waterline now though.

I just added a mini-guide for the psuedo-sport routes at the F.E. Walter Dam at brown Sugar wall

http://www.paclimbing.com/...-sugar-wall-page.htm

There is a bunch of other mini-guides for PA on http://paclimbing.com now also.

Hope it's useful.
