The below might be a bit out of the way for some of ya, but if you want to spend the weekend climbing at the Obed, come out earlier for this Access Fund event! Its free for everyone and they might even have prizes for people...... Mountains of the World - All Access Tour 2007 Thur., Oct. 25 (7pm) Climbing stars, Matt Segal & Micah Dash present their experiences from the mountains of the world in order to raise awareness for the climbing advocacy group, The Access Fund. Cost: FREE! for UT community and General Public Location: University of TN Knoxville Arts & Architecture 111 MATT SEGAL Matt Segal represents the new age of hard free climbing. His show includes hard bouldering in Hueco Tanks, the first ascent of his cutting edge gear route Iron Monkey (the first 5.14 in Eldorado Canyon) as well as his impressive link up on the Squamish Chief with Sonnie Trotter. MICAH DASH Micah’s show includes hard crack climbing in Indian Creek, Utah and big wall free-climbing in Yosemite, California. As well as the first one-day ascent of Nameless “Trango” Tower, the second ascent of Cats Ear spire in Pakistan, and big wall free-climbing in Greenland.
