First of all i would like to introduce myself, I've been looking things up in this forum, and i thought it would be time to sign in. Few days ago i bought a pair of 5.10 Galileo, and I was wondering if you could tell me any way to stretch them cause they are a bit tight. Thanks

Wear them to watch TV. Damp them slightly if they are leather. Warm them up a little bit if they are sythetic, while you are wearing them (careful with this one, the heat takes time to travel through the shoe and you may find they have become very hot and you can't get them off quick enough.)

If you don't want to, you can fill a tub with warm, not hot water so it just covers the rubber. Stand in it for about 7mins, then wear them until dry. >Cam

camaleon wrote: but isn't wearing in the shower bad? if not, should i use warm water or cold? If you shower with them you are subjecting them to soap and shampoo and posibly hot water. These things could possibly(small chance but none the less) harm shoes. I always fill a tupperwear bin with room temperature or cooler water. Then wear them until they dry. this will expand the leather when they are wet and slowly and NOT painfully contract as they dry giving you a perfect fit. 'Jeff

Just wear them. I had a pair which ive resoled once. They were tight new with my toes partly curled, but molded to the point where my toes were almost straight! Suffer through the pain for a little while longer before you go bathing with them

I've owned a pair, (southwest symbol on toe) and will agree with just wearing them to stretch them. Furthermore, If you want to wash them, they are synthetic and I have washed them by simply throwing them in the washing machine with a liquid detergent and cold or warm cycle. I quite often wash my synthetic shoes in one big load to de-funkify them.

Soak shoes and wear them until dry? How long does this process take to dry soaking wet shoes...at least overnight or something right? Don't know how many pair of shoes I've been through...but I've never once done anything other than wear them to break them in.

my predators hurt like hell when i first got them but now they fit like a glove. suffer through the pain a little longer and soon they will feel just right(hopefully). sweating in them really helps.

Galileos will NOT stretch. Take my word for it. I bought a pair 1/2 size smaller than I should have and the synthetic leather barely stretches at all. When I wear them 2 or 3 times a week- they stretch a TINY bit but once I didn't wear them for a week and they were back to their original fit. That being said, I love the shoes. It was my fault for buying too small (I'm a sucker for a sale).
