Hey out there, Looking for someone to climb with in Potrero Chico in November. I'm going to be with the familia during Thanksgiving week (Nov. 20th-25th) and could climb for 4 days or so during the week before the 20th, or just after the 25th. I am a sport climber, but would follow on Trad routes. Janet

Yo Janet, I am trying to put together a trip from Halloween until the start of thanksgiving week, so In would be available to climb with you before the start of thanksgiving. I haven't bought the ticket yet, but it is likely. I am under the impression that finding partners down there shouldn't be a problem, at least that's what I am banking on for my trip. I'll let you know if and when I buy the ticket. happy climbing. Jacob

Hi Jacob, Thanks for the e-mail. Let me know if(when) you get a ticket. I've also heard it's pretty easy to find partners there if you just show up, and I'd do that if I had more time. BUT, I only have four days or so to climb, so I'll only go if I can find a partner in advance. J.

Hi Janet, I just got back from El Potrero... What a place!! It is absolutely amazing. I went there on my own and met two wonderful climbing partners (and now friends). From where I live its only a $70 - 1 hr flight to El Potrero so I intend of returning at least once a month. Ill be happy to meet up with you for a few days and even if i couldnīt make it I could set you up with the guys i met on my last visit.

Hey 'Murdrak', That would be great! I'll arrive in Potrero on Sunday the 25th (Nov.) and will probably stay to climb Mon-Thur.. Think you'll be there then? Janet

Sure, my dates are very flexible Nov 25 sounds good. Ive never been there during the winter but I hear that the camping areas and hotels can get a little crowded. Let me know if you want to camp ($5 p night) or if you want a room ($20 - $25) so I can make reservations. My email is murdrak@hotmail.com

Hi janet, I<m canadian on a climbing road trip by myself across the west coast of the state...but its a bit to cold for me here....so I<m planning to be in epc really soon. (I<M in colorado right now) I pretty sure I be there in less then 2 weeks...so be available to climb with you if you want. The only problem is I wouldn<t have my technical climbing gear with me before december. I got my harness and shoe...but no rope, no draw and no trad gear when I be in potero chico. I don<t mind to lead and climb whatever you want if you can get the gear we need!! My name is Tee you can answer me back on my personal e-mail because this is not my account... monkeyjail@hotmail.com
