Are you guys crazy?

I'd rather shoot my firstborn in the head than climb one of those awful-widths.

errr

but if I must list the ones that I might have enjoyed

Trench Warfare, LCC
Jaws, Yosemite
Steck Salathe, Yosemite
Bellyfull, IC
Big Baby, IC
Have a Cow, IC
Unnamed OW just to the climbers right of the Annunaki alcove, IC
Squat, Vedauwoo
And a few others that I'm not at liberty to mention.

Ones that I didn't really enjoy
Big Pink, Vedauwoo

I'm sure there's more because offwidths truly truly suck ass those stupid awful dumb stupid lame fag climbs.

Chimneys arn't offwidths people.

That being said, I liked
Cream-Yos
Fat merchant-sugarloaf
The Burner-yos
and Vanishing Point- leap

But that's probably only becaues I haven't climbed at Vedavoo (sp?) yet.

I really enjoyed Orbital Ridge out at Vedauwoo. Leavittation's mandatory, but its pretty approachable.
Fantasia's pretty good for how short it is.
That's all I've got for now.

Hypertension, Presto Area-Squamish

Sue Da Feds, Black Spire-A/B Wilderness, MT

Blurry distance shot, but y'all get the idea.

Usually, I just pick from one of the hundreds in my locale.

This one is next.

That Butte place looks rad, looks like a lot of good stuff there. Whats the season up there?

As far as favorite offwidths however:

Tulip Crack - It's at least tea cups for almost anyone, but the way to do it is with stacks and kneelocks until it gets narrow enough for good fists. Tall and splitter.

Also, Big Bob's Big Wedge is fantastic. Only Offwidth at the lip, but this problem is just perfect.

Desiderata is sweet.

Another one isTrench Warfare. That thing is freaking sweet, though it would be cooler if it was either closer or farther away from the ground.

Simiantics, Desiderata, It, Trip Master Monkey, Burning Man, Crack Named Sue, Monsters Inc. ... Too many favorites to list. Freaking love offwidths, except the grovely kind.

The popular season is usually April though October for most, but it really depends on what you view as climbable weather.

Last winter I managed over 20 days out there. Alot of the climbing is on the east side of the Homestake pass, and the surrounding mountains draw the weather away; this creates a bit of a rain shadow.

If it's over above 30 and sunny, it's usually pretty reasonable. Hell, I even camped 4 days out there last January. Lots of south facing stuff to do.

I got stymied last weekend, but I plan to climb out there tomorrow or Sunday.

Serrator-IC
Brother From Another Planet-IC
Bellyfull-IC (no send, but a favorite)

When I think of offwidth, i think of a grovley, to-big-to-stack, can't-get-inside-this-muther-fucker, my-6-is-tipped, shit-yer-pants-crack.

I don't like offwidth cracks, I like circus trick cracks.

No offense everyone, but ow climbing is super lame. I guess it's alright if you're too uncoordinated and your technique it to crappy to really pull down on hard sport routes and boulder problems... but i'm just saying. Lame. That is all.

read: If I can't climb it, it's lame

Looking at your 2 other posts it's obvious that this is a troll account. Doesn't change the fact you probably flail up the OW though, hence your post.....

Probably not worth the effort unless you're in the area, but it is an exciting climb. Just try to leave some of the sand on the climb...please.Crazy

My two uh yea, favorite, offwidths are Galen's Crack in Tuolomne and Pitch 4 of the Harding route on Mt. Conness. Neither are really hard for an experienced offwidth climber but for an East Coaster like me a climb like Galen's Crack is a world class ass kicking.
