Many spectacular shots on the site seem like the climber is being held by the rope during the photo. Those ropes sure are tight! I'd yell at my belayer if they were yanking me this hard. http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=ListPhoto&PhotoID=7912 http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=ListPhoto&PhotoID=7964 This lad is keeping it real! http://www.rockclimbing.com/photos.php?Action=ListPhoto&PhotoID=7910 Murf [ This Message was edited by: murf on 2002-10-22 12:24 ]

Quote:...seem like the climber is being held by the rope during the photo. On the first one I guess it's possible, but I doubt it. That's just how the rope sits; though it may look tight, it's hard to tell if there's actually any real tension on it. On the second picture... she's at (or possible slightly past) the draw. Either you're on crack or I'm getting me one o' dem gravity defyin' ropes.
