WTF!? That fall is neither big or particularly scary. It would also be normal for falls on kachoong. (BTW it is Mt Arapiles, Australia)

There are certainly some crazy fall videos about but this isn't one of them.

That's pretty cool. I wonder though, seems like it should have it's own category, like net protected solo or something. It's quite different than doing a regular solo.

Considering that there is some sort of protection to keep you from decking, I would lump this into highball bouldering.

Brings up the question though, what makes a problem/route a solo vs. a highball boulder. I'd say it has more to do with historical view of the problem/route than the protection factor. In other words, is it viewed as a highball or is it bolted.

I just got done watching first ascent. Pretty great shots and I was impressed that there was a story line in it. What a great movie. The runout that Dean Potter had on The Tombstone above the crux was sick. He nailed the hardest part but had to run it out to a 125 foot whipper risk to finish it...just sick.
Not that I feel guilty about being a sport climber but that movie made me appreciate hard Trad route climbers even more. Hats off you crazy people!!! I wonder if my balls will ever get that big....
