Anything that has been assembled can be disassembled. Yes, it's quite possible to disassemble an RE Durango. The crucial question is what you expect at the conclusion of disassembly.

Long story short, I made some prototype cam lobes and am looking to avoid having to make stems to test them with. So if either of these come apart (and go back together again), it'll save me quite a bit of work. Thx. -a. Not to sound like an expert. But if you do not have the knowledge in how to disassemble the working unit then can you trust your knowledge of producing a prototype lobe and properly refitting them on the dismantled unit? ciao Santana

Gotcha. If you are just interested in lab pull test I would think you should purchase the rod stock you want and then drill your lobes to match. You could easily cut and drill the stem. The return springs might be a bit harder to locate. Each manufacturer has their own required specs but dig deep and you can find the spring manufacturer. Now if you are looking at real world test then I suggest doing the same. The originals were not that well machined so to speak. All prototypes look like shit to begin with. After you can prove it works you then move on to making it aesthetically pleasing. good luck ciao Santana ciao Santana
