As a newcomer to this forum and only slightly familiar with the insights of the wise and omnipotent "passthepitonspete" what is the wall flower? I may be really showing my ignorance here by referencing him to it.

I don't think either of those products are available yet considering they are not listed in the 2002 catalog and they made there debut at the tradeshow this year. Pika makes a similar gear sling which is rated for use as a chest harness. I use the Misty Mountain Gear sling and although does't have the hydration pack attached to it I like it alot. Very comfortable. As far as the crap tube thing is concerned. I think you could accomplish the same thing with a river drybag and save a few bucks.

Climb high has a pack/harness too. Don't know anyone who's used one though.

I use an A5 Big Wall Chest Harness and it is GREAT. My partner Ben Banks used an A5 Big Wall Chest Harness but didn't feel like it had enough padding in the shoulders, so he changed over to a YATES Big Wall Chest Harness and likes it. I think the FISH Big Wall Chest Harness comes only in 1 size.

Punk,
Thanks for the directions. SOOOOO! If I tie my little grocery bag onto my snazy poop line. Over the course of several days do I chain link these bags together with repetitive overhand knots or do I get to fondle the THANG and retie new sprouts in to the existing planter?

To address the first question. I have a Misty and really like it. An added benefit which I'm not sure about on the Metolius is I can tie into the chest harness if need be. I wear it on anything long any more.

I like the multi loop version that Met. makes. I use the hell out of it.

All these harnesses are pretty cool. However, I require two things out of a gear sling:
1 - chest harness capability (If for no other reason, clipping to my daisy and relaxing while jugging, etc..)
2 - Can carry a water bladder and a little munchie for the belay. It's also nice to be able to carry a light shell as it may be hours till you can get one from the bags.

The only one I know that fits this bill is Pika's. The bladder that comes with it leaves alot to be desired but the harness rocks and is so comfy, you don't know you're wearing!
