Does the Watts guide include the crack climbing in the lower gorge? If not, what guide would you recomend for doing gear routes?

I believe that it does include the lower gorge crack climbs.

The watts guide actually covers the lower and upper Crooked River gorge fairly extensivly on both sides of the river. I'm not sure what difficulties you are looking for, but the Watts guide will give you the most options if you climb 5.9 or under on gear. If you are looking for the best concentration of classic cracks in the gorge, the newer "Select" guide by Jonathan Thesenga would be worth checking out. It's also cheaper, has pretty color pics, and is more current (the Watts guide is pushing 16 years old). But it has few climbs under 5.10.
