Hey Bigtoe, Not sure what you mean by backcountry. Do you want to backpack in somewhere to camp and climb? Or do you want to car camp somewhere and climb from there? Big difference. Mal

In RMNP...Good place to camp (really only climber's bivys allowed) Sky Pond Petit Grepon, Sharkstooth, Saber nearby, great alpine rock routes, beautiful setting.

im talking about hiking into some where and camping alot of people have said rmnp but i hear thats pretty crowded. i dont wanna have to camp right on top of some one or wait in a long line to climb a route

What kind of climbing do you want to do? Sport, Short trad, long trad, bouldering... That'd be a good place to start.

Check out Shelf Road, it's not really back country, but there's tons of climbing, and plenty of camping (i think)

Theres no such thing as Backcountry Sport Climbing. That said, Shelf Road does has good camping but don't expect to be alone
