I am quite fast on aid, course practice helps. I've done El Cap 30 times by 22 different routes and a dozen or so grade 5's. I have always led the crux pitches and have guided the Nose and the Zodiac a couple of times each. Last time I guided the Nose, I led with a small free climbing rack(smaller than that monster rack the art is draging up the Lt Ski Track), only had aiders out for about 200' and led all the pitches in under 15 mins each. I know that there are some really fast guys out there but I have never climbed with any one faster than me.
And oh yea, I know I have mentioned this before... but I guess it bears repeating. Emoticons are GAY!!!1
