GeneralBenson wrote: Ok, here's some pics, finally. Sorry about the humangous watermark. I had Genny do it, cuz I don't know how, and I suppose I didn't specify size. But anyways, people can let me know what files they want, and I can get them hi res and without the mark. Umm ... not to sound greedy, but I'll take one of each. Let me know the cost. I'll PM you my mailing address. Great Pictures! Alan

hehe, so THATS why you hung at that upper bolt! you were looking for the wardrobe cue!! ahh, it makes sense! and yeah, i liked that heel scum, to bad it was so high, but it worked pretty well haha. and in defense of the scum against the actual beta, you guys just pointed and said put heel there! and my heel when about "there"! if you do get on the route again, tell me, and i'll come shoot it, unless i'm off someplace (like school)!

Yeah, haha, next time i will know the location of "There"! haha and i agree, that route was scary to fall on for the first time, and that rolling lightning/thunder wasnt exactly inspiring confidance for sure! I'm gonna be in DC the weekend of the 4th, so i'll have to be happy with just wishing you luck (and small crowds) i'l be back for the weekend after, i think, so maybe then!

If you think falling from the second bolt was terrifying, try making that clip. I want to get back on it. "Take. I want to look at the next hold."

Yeah - We're pretty well known to suddenly reappear when there is beer and pizza to be consumed or pool to be shot! Oh, and I'm not photogenic!

Hey Ben ... thanks for the pictures! They are great. Who is the climber doing the overhang at the beginning ... for some reason, I don't recognize him?!? Got to get back together. I never did get a chance to tie in with you! Alan

Posted up my Trad Friday photos on Picasa http://picasaweb.google.com/...?authkey=hY9xDyOIA9Q Too bad Ben lost the photos of Rich the Panda. They would have been instant classics here on RC.com! I would post up a few sample pics but I'm too lazy to figure out how to make them display properly.

Bill, some good pics there. Not only was that Aaron's first day on slabs but he was technically leading that part (which he didn't realise til later) while Rich simul climbed above him. I'm bummed that the panda pics were lost. Did Ed find himself a partner for poko yet? I may be able to set someone up for him.

Sorry to butt in, but I am heading to Rumney next week and wanted to escape a day to get on Lost in the Sun as well. This thread is perfect. I've never been to either place. I am planning to take two followers up Lost in the Sun, one of which has never followed a multipitch route before. It sounds like the approach isn't too bad - 45 minutes? Easy route finding for people who've never been? It sounds and looks like there will be plenty of room at the belays, is that correct? I'd love any info you could share. PM me if you don't want to clutter up this monster thread. Also, the shot from trad Friday clipping a bolt and toting a giant lunchbox is my favorite part of the thread

MM --- You are right on all three counts. If you haven't already done so check NEClimbs.com for approach and route description. If damp at all think about doing A Bit Short. It seemed to be substantially drier than Lost In The Sun. The "Giant Lunchbox" contained Ben's pro camera gear which I had the "pleasure" of lugging up the first two pitches of A Bit Short. Unfortunately due to a "digital mishap" Ben lost what I am sure would have been some classic shots of The Panda. So the effort was for naught. Have fun. --- Bill

Hey guys, Im in CO now, as of yesterday. You all have a place to stay in boulder now, and I mean that. Well, that is, once I have a place to stay; which will hopefully be today. THEN, Genny and I would be totally thrilled to have people stay who are passing through or visiting Boulder, because you were al super cool people. Now I can sort out my life and start getting people legit copies of those images. Also, I know there lots of recovery software for accidentally erased images, so hopefuly those slab shots can be recovered, because the Slab Panda is one sexy beast that is rarely observed with the human eye.

Hey Ben, congrats on your arrival to Boulder and on your pending nuptuals! I have an additional week of vacation next year (10 years in hell gets you at least something)... so I am planning on using a few days to get out and see you. Great meeting you and best of luck! Love, Panda (who the hell came up with that anyway?)
