You need to comeover to the dark side... the side where others will carry all your gear into the camp in exchange for you loading a haulbag with a pony keg and a couple 26's of Whisky to have in camp for the weekend. lol. We get some free mini kegs of ale from the local distillery we support, maybe I should shove that in the hualy next time I'm on a long trip. :) Always take my hip flask, got lagavulin (or is it laphriog?) in it atm. -MagnuS

I like a nice fiery end to my winter summit malt :) Perhaps that'll have to be polished off and replaced with a more mellow summer malt like Old Pultney or sommat. -MagnuS

The only reason i voted for bodingtons was it left me hangover-free.....aparentyl convict urine sits well with me......The best beer I've had lately was a Troegenator Double Bock......tasty and like 8.something ABV.

I love IPAs. I have a Decadent IPA in the Fridge. I'll probably follow it with one of AB's IPAs but don't tell him. His heads's swole up enough.

I love English pub ale but I can understand why not everyone has the same taste buds. I would blow a German Shepard before I drank another budweiser. Have you tried Bass?

As a style, see if you can find an Irish Red Ale from your favorite local brewers. A touch of malty sweetness, well balance with hops, but not bitter. Among my favorite "session" beers. Here in Western NY state, theres a great one called "Aviator Red".

I too would rather you blow a German Shepard before I would drink another budweiser. I just don't want to watch. I'm not impressed by Bass. It's good in a black & tan? It just doesn't taste distinctive to me. Like you said, different taste buds.

I have had a few of those lately when we go out to eat.(however I do prefer Murphys over Guiness in a black and tan)
