dr_feelgood wrote: so does it make me an alcoholic if i am drinking at 8 am? What If I worked the previous night? Nope, your a shift worker now. You are no longer obligated to conform to rules of the 9 to fiver. Your internal clock says have a drink at 8am so you damn well better have a drink at 8am. That being said...what was your excuse for drinking at 8am prior to this job???

X posted from the coffee shop 'cause I don't have time to retype the story for all you guys here:
granite_grrl wrote: I took 4 days climbing up north on the escarpment. Some good climbing, didn't get to send my projects up there, but I was satisfied. Left at ~2:30 yesterday afternoon to for the 4hour ride home. At about 3:00 the car overheated for the first time (not mine, my partner's clunker). At 3:30 after letting it cool down we get about 4km down the road before it over heats again. At about 4:30 the tow truck shows up. Anyway, after the long ride home (he had to unlock someone's car on the way, it was CAA), transferring everything over to her boyfriend's car and unloading at my place it was about 10pm. In bed by 11pm after dealing with some unpacking and the kitty. Up at 5:30 this morning. Um, yeah, so I'm tired today. I'm going to be dreaming of heading back up there soon and getting back on my project. I know Nathan is dreaming of the same thing (his project, though I didn't get a chance to hike down and even see if it was dry).
