Nathan and I still need to go give blood. I still haven't given back what I needed to take during my accident.
How many units did you need?

I gave blood once, it was pretty cool- I felt good about it, doing the right thing and all that.
A_B, thanks for the tip- tried a Bruachladdich tonight (woo! guests bought me like 20 drinks!) it's really good, very similar to Bunnahabhien and Bowmore but a little more subtle.
I had the 12 (oh noes! jailbaitz!), will look into the 18 and 25.

details man, details. was he like rigimortis dead or fresh dead? Was he bleeding and died a gruesome death or quietly dead like massive heart attack?

Doesn't a doctor need to do that?

Nah. We operate under their license, so it technically could fall back on them, but not likely. And this dude was dead dead.
uh Huh!! another clue. Answers my question about rigimortis dead or fresh dead. I think dead dead means rigimortis.

I have had a shitty day.

I hate my job.

There is alway cold beer at the end of the day.
And maybe if she plays her cards right, AND washes her feet, she might get a foot rub.
To fuckin' funny!
Well, I do have to wear steel toed safety shoes all day. I can't really blame him.
It's not the shooz, its the synthetic socks.

And the feet.Tongue
climber not shoooz!

I like tube-style belay devices over the gri-gri.

[btw: obtained the Reverso 3 this weekend. Far superior to the ATCGuide.]

Had to retire my original (yes original, not the 2nd gen one with the ridges) Reverso a couple weeks ago. I was getting t3e Sharpz edgez! Frown

Still waiting for someone to get the Reverso 3 in stock here... As I cannot find my old stitch plate (my first belay device) I have had to resort to t3e ATC Mad
It took you that long to retire your original Reverso?

You can grind down the sharp edges.

I gave away my Reverso to Zomb_E cause it sucked.
Yes it did. Yes I have rounded the edges once before. And no it doesn't suck.

And yes I'm waiting for the new one.
Oh, and I think I remember where I put my Stitch Plate. Whoo!
My biggest bitch was the lack of fricton when belaying or rappeling.

Rebecca's Reverso 1.0 is hanging on the gear wall in the basement collecting dust. You'd have to work a deal out with her though.
I think I should work a deal out with her on that, not the axemurderer

I was renewing my heath card. They have 6 stations and only three were open. They print the approx. wait time on your number ticket and you can plan on it being at least twice what they say.

Its possible, but if you are really torquing them you might bend them permanently. But if they do bend you can pound them back. They will be more prone to bending in the future though.

I have only bent picks when only the tip was in contact an I was really reefing on them doing shallow stienpulls. It hink BD picks cost half of what a grivel or Petzl pick cost, and the picks aren't tool specific A nd ther is only one bolt to drop if you need to do a field change. And you can use another pick to tighten and loosen the bolt.

Don't take that as liberty to run your mouth/keyboard in here

Sadly Grivel Picks cost more, but they aren't as tools specific as many think.

Word to the wise, Do not donate a few days before an alpine climbing trip... that one sucked. Hmmm, I think that was the last time I donated too.
