A few hundred of the world's best young climbers gathered in Sydney, Australia last week to battle it out on the plastic for the 2008 World Youth Climbing Cup. The level of climbing was just mind blowing! Exclusive photographic coverage of the entire event was provided by myself, Simon Carter & Neil Monteith. Nice work Josh. How did you get yourselves in position for these shots. Ladders? Handogging opposite walls or what? Thanks.

We worked with the route setters prior to the comp to determine where the routes would go & where we could get the best angles (without being in the way), then a bit of aiding (with assistance from a scissor lift) to fix ropes allowing us to move around on the day. I had one portaledge rigged as the luxury seat, and the three of us rotated between the ledge and our bosuns chairs.
