Climbing Harnesses - Pull test link?

Unless I am completely imagining things, I thought I recalled some company did a bunch of pull-tests of harnesses that people had sent into them, and published the results and photos online. This would have been maybe 6mo-1yr ago.

I don't know where the link is, and this is separate from the partially-cut belay loops that BD tested.

Anyone else remember this or have a link?

THANKS!

Results were published in Rock n Ice issue 171 (Sept. 08). I don't think it's online anywhere yet.

Was that just to test the buckle systems or were they checking for how much strength was left in used harnesses? The tests done on used ropes were a little unsettling considering the significant reduction of the force required for breaking the most used sections (the ends). I know my harness shows some wear and I'm a little curious as to when to retire it.

worth getting the back issue. tests were done by Arc'teryx and an independed CE testing lab. very good, highly scientific shit.

And the BD BOD harness they showed brake was then and is now one of the best harnesses ever made for trad or mixed climbing. Kinda bummed me out really! LOL
