Recommendations on <= Grade III chimneys in the Valley to prep for Texas Flake?

Looking to get a couple days practice on similar featured chimneys beforehand.

Thanks.

I haven't done many in the valley, but if you can handle epinepherine (RR), texas won't phase you. Just running a few laps on the start of Royal Arches should get you where you need to be - Texas Flake isn't really that bad. And I'm pretty shite at chimneys :)

I was totally psyched out by texas, dreaded it all night whilst sleeping on El Cap Towers, and was pleasantly surprised.

Back to the flake and look for footholds way left as you get higher.

Were I doing the Nose again I'd practice harder for rattly fist cracks - lots of 'em on the first half of the route, and they worked me pretty hard. And run stairs to get cardio for jugging fast.
