Hello everybody...

I'm looking for the best option for a climbing shoes for granite rock...

The shoes that i have (miuras) are awesome for limbstone, but i've heard that are better options for granite rock...

Any suggestions?

Granite ...

... cracks? Wide cracks? Thin cracks?
... faces? Slabs? Heavily featured?
... all around?

I've got seven different pairs of shoes, and none of them are granite or limestone specific (although my muiras only get hauled out when I get on limestone, because they don't jam that well and I live near Vedauwoo).

Slab? A nice snug pair of Miuras are good as gold.

Cracks? Not so much; Mythos would be better.

I have loved every pair of Boreal shoes I have ever had.
All my shoes have been lace ups.

I climb everything in my Miuras, I think that these shoes perform well on all kinds of rock. not the best for hands sized cracks but good for fingers crack and small edges/crystals. I also find them to be more than adequate for most smearing.

Baracudas from LaSportive for cracks, they are OK for slab if it's not too hot.

generally speaking, shoes are designed more for the features found on the rock rather than rock type.

given a set of features on different types of rock, a shoe designed to perform on those features should do well on any type of rock.

Shoes like the Mythos are actually designed for slab. The last is built to flex more at the insole.
