So tell me, what music give you a boost during climbing? Indoors or maybe outside?
Or do you climb in peace and quietness?

I play atari teenage riot, or some other techno, or sometimes some skate-punk.

Just depends on the mood. Infected Mushroom, TOOL, Relient K to Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin etc etc etc.

Oh COOL!

You have one of those turbo diesel mercedes ?

I love those, especially in the movie spy game where brad pitt drives that doctor guy to his death in one and he gets like totally smashed in seven or eight different spots and the whole rear end of the car blows up and its on fire cuz its such a beast it can keep driving even though it is on fire cuz its diesel and won't explode. But then, when the doctor gets dorpped off robert redford has called the something something rebel alliance like in star wars and this guy drives that ford bronco, another cool turbo dog car for all you car buffs who dont know what a bronco is it is also a horse that is wild and needs to be tamed, which is filled with too many explosives not only takes out the dictator guy who they wanted to kill but also the doctor guy who like, just a pawn, to robert redford but actually meant something to brad pitts girlfriend who eventually left him because she was working for some big time enemy guy and he was working for the cia but wouldn't tell her. Man, I like that movie about as much as I like cars and if you are going to live in dallas you need not only a compfratable behicle, but a speedy one as well which is porbably why you own some sort of souped up mobile that probably has like ground effects and neon and people come up to you and say "Nice civic, dude" and try not to snicker when you get all peeved cuz OBVIOUSLY anyone with half a brain can fully see what you have is a goddamn acura integra, which is alos good because idiots in tank tops with their firebirds and thunderbirds and their hats on backwards like to scoff at the ricer market but YOU have turbo diesel, man, turbo friggin diesel. Hey, next time I am in dallas, do you mind meeting me up at stoneworks because you know it is the tallest climbing gym in the free world, thatsright, f--- you russia!, and we could like do some lead climbing if you will take the time to teach me about how to be cool cuz you have a cool car and obvioulsy people with cool cars are not just making up for the fact that they have little penises which is what my sister says and I believe her cuz she is a slut and has dated guys with both turbo diesels and also sportbikes, which are cool in their own right if you are into the whole whiney poser bitch scene where speed is glorified as actual power by people who don't realize that the only true test of a person's manhood is how hard he flashes in camp4, hueco and font. Wow, people tell me I ramble a lot, but I really sometimes don't do a good enough job of portraying that on the internet, even though I like to try and try again but generally fall way short of the mark what with my utter lack of grammatical consideration and zest for run on sentences and the like. I n conclusions, I think that your vehicle is totally sweet, but I did not know that acura made mercedes and I did not realize you were friends with the brad pitt from beirut and I hope to god you dont wear your hat backwards and if you do you should turn it around right now and speed down to do some climbing someplace where they have real climbing like the austin greenbelt.

COOL !

headcrak...you a funny motherf---er...you know that? did you actually THINK about that post or just let it ramble???

i like (old)metallica, jane's addiction, eminem, alice in chains, snoop and dre, anything that bumps and thumps when im trying to send hard projects.

when im climbing trad or highballs, i like soimething more mellow like, al dimeola, paco delucia, pink floyd, stevie ray vaughan, something mellow and relaxing...

I agree that the music should stay home and at the gym . . . I'll never forget showing up at the coliseum at summersville and having some blaring music just totally deflating my attitude . . . turns out it was Jason Kehl . . . and he was hillarious about it, but that's no excuse for others to do the same . . . Anyway . . .on the way to the crag I definitely like to get some prodigy old Metallica, or anything angry, just to get a little rage . . . I have made a few mixes that I consider to be for climbing, but that I use when I am working out, makes me think about climbing and makes the strenous workouts seem more worthwhile. A little Jay Z, Q-tip, linkin park, older Limp biz, lots of Prodigy (fat of the land could be one of the best discs for climbing/training) DJ Sae One, and others. I think the Big Up CD is pretty decent, reminds me of the climbs from Free Hueco and Rampage and gets me motivated to send!

I agree, no music outside.

Although, I was in Fontainebleau some time ago where some american wouldn't stop talking loudly. I wished I had a boombox/walkman with me then...

Music rocks, so it belongs at the rock. Anything with a good beat is acceptable, nothing that'll put my belayer to sleep. That would suck. I'd recommend some Prog Rock, British Trad Rock, and especially Psychedelic Rock (some of the more lively stuff)
