On a side note from this, has there ever been talk of bringing the Phoenix Bouldering Contest back? Was it the current situation with Resolution that caused the comp/festival to stop?

I miss those times Unsure

The PBC died for reasons other than Resoluation Copper. Good times those were indeed!

Phlapper Fest is the closest thing we have to PBC. Much smaller scale but more fun and less stress. I do miss the mega party though.

Any preview about what is going to be discussed?

I checked the site and it seems like nothing new has happened since July of last year. Don't read this as a critique. I'm very interested in the preservation of Queen Creek as a climbing area. To that end I'd love to know the answer to the question: "why a meeting now?" What is the goal. Sort of a "begin with the end in mind" question a la the 7 Habits.

PS - seems to me the annual get together at Prescott is better attended than Phlapper Fest. Shocked

Why a meeting now is a good question. Since the election and the economic downturn, RCM has scaled back efforts in our backyard. But, they have made us offers we should open for discussion. That's what the meeting is about. Purely informative at this point.
