I went to IHOP a couple days ago and they are doing free pancakes on February 24 if you consider a donation to the Childrens Miracle Network. Sweet deal.

Done properly it comes out somewhere between a crepe and a pancake, so much thinner than what you get from box mixes with none of that crumbly nastiness.
Also good to throw in a touch of vanilla extract or chocolate liquor once in a while for variety. And if you want to get truly crazy its almost sugaring season, so go find a bucket and spile and make your own maple syrup. Personally I think Norway Maple has a better flavor than Sugar Maple (there's a subtle bitterness to it), but that's me.

Oh YEAH!!!! My kids are going to love me. We normally buy box crap and from that I am going to be the waffle king in this house. Children, tomorrow morning it's pancakes!!!
Win for sure! I also got all you can eat pancakes with bacon and eggs and hash browns for like $5. Ended up having 14 pancakes. Don't think the waiter could believe it when he kept asking if I wanted 3 more and I kept saying "yes please." My math is good; it started with a stack of 2.

Chocolate is first, with blueberry just behind. Nothing sets you up for a day of sending then pancakes. Shove some in a bag, crush 'em up, and you got some drinkable powder for mid route.
ever been in the South and gotten pancakes with fried chicken...ohhh its killer
Chicken and Waffles in downtown Dayton(not the south) but still friggin good, even if I do get some pretty weird looks being a scronny white guy in that neighborhood, still so worth it.
I prefer apple pancakes. To make them, add some cinnamon and finely chopped apples to the batter. To top, instead of maple syrup, make an apple topping. For this, add brown sugar, honey, cinnamon and chopped apples to a pan. Heat until the fluid is boiling and the apples are fairly carmelized. Pour over the pancakes, add some whipped cream and eat.

That actually sounds pretty damn good. It will be tried TONIGHT. Expect a full report. *note to self - buy apples and sin-e-mon.
My mom used to make our family blueberry pancakes on weekends and there was not a single time she did not burn them to a crisp. She claimed that the pancakes were simply colored by the blueberries. Is that unforgivable?
There'd better be real Canadian maple syrup going on these pancakes and not that table syrup crap. I guess Nutella or some kind of fruit syrup would be passable.
I made buttermilk pancakes for the first time a while ago and they are fantastic. A nice tangy contrast to the mapley sweetness.
