FYI, I'm posting up instructions for home brew russian aidersover on bigwalls.com. I've been making my own for over 4 years, and over the last year and a half I have steadily refined them to something fit for general consumption.

How hard would it be to have you rip one of these apart?

I'm thinking pulling till the hook unrolls (hopefully it goes first), pulling till the jug loop till it goes, then finally pulling the calf strap till it goes (assuming no major damage from the other pulls). I'd feel better knowing at least one of these pulled at a good strength, even though it would be a single sample.

These are amazing! I bought a pair from moof sometime last year and they work great! I've been testing out something pretty funky where I have a set of Metolius aiders and a single Fish Russian aider tree on the same non-locking crab and I aid like that. The only downfall (I guess not necessarily a downfall, maybe just n00bish issues on my part with Russian aiders) is that it's a little funky getting the stirrup hooks into the Russian aider rings as I make my way up. The less vertical the wall is, the harder this is to deal with hence the standard aider/russian aider set up I've been trying. I'll be out in Zion in a month for a few months to try this out to the extreme. Anyways, I went on a tangent there. My point is, I bought a pair that moof made for me and they fucking rock. Make a set now that he's posted his "blueprint". Moof, thanks again for a great design!
