I don't know about funny, but it is a pretty landscape sans the helicopter.

I like fish. Fish is good around the campfire after a long drawn out day.

I approved that shot, and I have to admit, I almost didn't. The reason I would have used is that it isn't climbing, but in the end, I couldn't deny the real reason was that I was just sort of offended by it. What's actually going on in that shot?

My Guess is either rescuing cattle, or simply moving them.

Rescue seems more likely, as why else would one pay for a helicopter.

Just a guess though.

The actual description:
"Five bighorn sheep slung from a helicopter and being transplanted to Desolation Canyon. Photo taken 1-15-09 by Brad Crompton, Utah Division of Wildlife Resources."

http://dwr.smugmug.com/...xFYu#464040912_ERXGp

If they're being "transplanted" (would explain the sacks), then those big horns are still alive, much different than the many similar pictures I saw in NZ.

I mean, how was THIS not approved and flying cows were? which provides the greater service to the rc.com community?

I guess, though, we could go back for old times sake...

I'm not quite 34 yet. I take offense at being called old.

i wonder how you get the job to do the tranquilizing of these things.

i could do that all day.....it's like hunting....but from a helicopter....and nothing has to die!
