I haven't seen this particular accident posted here on RC.com lately, but I don't usually follow this stuff too closely, so I apologize if this is a repost. Simon Carter has posted a blog entry with an update to the absolutely abysmal bolt job that ended up with a failed bolt contributing to the loss of a climber's life. It's sickening to think that someone's irresponsibility, doing such a poor bolt job in a way that could be confused with another route, has ended with such a high cost. If you don't read the entire article, at least watch the embedded youtube video, and be careful when climbing on unknown or suspect bolts!
