Over the last year I have accumulated a good sized beginner trad. rack and looking to climb with someone. Have bouldered and climbed sport for 3 years now. I've done a lot of reading and I feel like I've got a good grasp on things but I'd be stupid to not try to find someone to learn the finer points from. I'll offer to buy some beer and be your belay slave on your project routes if you don't mind leading some easier stuff, letting me clean, evaluate my placements, etc. I like to climb at Sand Rock and have been out to Palisades before. Anyone interested in learning me just shoot me a message.

I could show you some stuff. I spend time in Auburn regularly and will be down there the weekend of the 21st. I wouldn't mind meeting up around Birmingham if there is any trad climbing there.

Ben is right. Cherokee Rock Bluffs is the only roped climbed near auburn. Its about 30-45 minutes from campus. There are two bouldering spots also around north college and university.
