so basically you want a bunch of people to show up and completely monopolize the rock on a day during the weekend? great idea! very considerate!* *note: sarcastic undertones

Why don't you gather in October during the chili cookoff? Then the lines would look more like Disneyland!

Yeah, considering that Seneca is one of the premier east coast climbing destinations, and you want to go during a month that the rock will be packed already... it might be a lot of hassle for other climbers for a bunch of us to show up and try to take over. Maybe if it was earlier in the year (April?) it would be easier to organize and not make so many folks mad at us. Just a thought. As for camping there, there are 3 places close by the crag and they fill up quickly with many advance registrations, especially at that time of the year. So again, earlier may be better. Plus July can be bitchin hot in these parts - I know April can be showers, but if you ask me more mild weather is much nicer to climb in than 98 with 100% humidity of July. Just my thoughts....

i always think nelson is a great idea..and i will be willing to collect the money ahead of time to reserve the cabins... it is $7 a person for a tent or $9 person for 4 man cabin per nite/ and that includes climbing pass...

Yeah, we could do both technically since they are just next to eachother, but as Anne and I can attest to - Nelson kicks some major boo-tay.
