I'll take an IV... or two.

Shitty family dynamics with the sister inlaw going on right now. Monday sucks. Had everything ready to sign for the mortgage on the house this week and take over ownership by the June 1.... then the sister in-law (who happens to be the execuator of the estate) desides we should be paying the price of the appraisal from last June, not the one done last week. Both were done by the same company. It's based on greed, nothing more than that, except maybe the fact she's a bitch too.[/rant]

Seriously it would be great if someone could pass the coffee.Unsure

Chitty deal Climber, same thing happened to friends of mine. The inlaws who made an issue of it were the ones that were already established, and well off (unlike my friends who were trying to buy their fist house).

Morning all, guess it's afternoon here...anyway, busy weekend doing family stuff, and another family dinner tonight only this time at our place. We bought some plants yesterday, I got about half of them in so we have some planting to do in the next couple of days before they all die on me.

XL me kids, lots to do, deadlines looming.

Krillen, that's the exact situation that were in. This sister inlaw just happens to have moved to England forgotten that she came from humble beginings, happens to like in what might as well be a million dollar home, makes more than me an the other half combined... and that's before you add in her husband's sallary (which is astronomical!)... Then there is the other sister (live in Canada) who has chosen to remain silent through all of this despite the fact that she went through this same BS with her husband's family when his parents passed away. That ended in them not talking to his family for almost 10 years.

I'm feeling more than a little stressed today because of this Crazy Coffee helps... beer or something stronger would be better, but that would not work out with the whole being at work thing.

It does help knowing that someone has friends who've has gone through this same BS. A lot of this BS had cleared while we were getting the pre-approval for the mortgage, then as soon as she found out were couple get some money... she figured she deserved more because she had to put her life on hold for a couple weeks at a time 2 to 3 times a year to help take care of her father....

...we put our lives on hold for 4 years to do the same...

I'll try to stop the rant for now.

BUmmer dude. I had a pretty sweet weekend myself. friday I spenth the morning getting a schiooling underneath and around a 1988 BMW 325 sitting in the boneyard. much thrashing, but came away with nothing for the want o fone single specialized tool. still, spent the day int eh sun farting about with cars, and rarely is that a bad time for me.

saturday went to a brand new rock gym in worccester MA with my GF and original partner. its about the sweetest gym I've ever been to. 40 foot walls eveywhere, huge windows on 3 of four walls (not ocovered by climbign surface, and many quality routes. it was good times. I haven't climbed indoors in 4+ years and regularly indoors in 6+, so there was an element of novelty. I actualy climbed on a couple .10+s and had more success than i thought I would.

saturday night my band played at the milfor performing arts center. had a good crowd that included my oldest daughter haley and one of her friend. we played really well. it was also vy good times.

sunday Pam and I went for our usual sunday afternoon 5 mile bike ride an grilled major meats, and then when out for ice cream.

it was a good weekend all around.

Afternoon all! Back from my trip from Nebraska! We didn't stop anywhere or see anything, we had no money or time to spare. Left Lincoln Nebraska at 10:15 AM on Saturday and pulled into the driveway at 4:45 PM Sunday. 27.5 hours .... we stopped to sleep for 3.5 just south of Buffalo when we realized neither of us could handle another shift .

There is some pretty country out there.... I need to go back when I can enjoy it more. And if you're ever in the neighborhood, the capital building in Lincoln is well worth a couple hour's visit.

Having some beer right now... ;-)

So she wants what the house was worth a year ago, and not what it worth today? That stupid, greedy bitch.

Sorry, but greed like that makes me mad.....durrrrr

Finally back on day shit. Had to go almost to Toronto this morning for a doctors apointment, fighting ruch hour traffic. Didn't get in till lunch today so I'm going to have to stay late. Beautiful out too. Unsure

/steals the last donut bahahhaa

weekend was good. Rode 46mi saturday with this guy i know from CT but lives in RI now. He's been riding alot longer than me so having some imput on my riding style and form was sweet. found out i waste alot of energy on hills for minimal gains.

Had mothers day dinner over at my brothers apt. seafood casserole/chowder shrimp..lobster, scallops, langostine tails.. tasty :)

easy 25mi ride today to get the legs moving and prepared for a long ride wednesday. going to work tomorrow and thurs pulling up crappy hardwood floors and other such things to make a few bucks for the week

on a sporting note... only $2500 fine and no suspension on a "mandatory 1 game suspension" jackass move by Walker last night in the Bruins game? wtf?? break a guy's cheek bone and nothing? jeebus.. hope Lucic puts a cross check through the guys nose tomorrow night..

Meh. You can't always take the good without the bad. It was just one of those weeks where a lot of bad came together to make for a worse weekend. All I can do is try to put it behind me and move on.

Monday's almost over. I have been super busy all day, and now that I'm home I'm adjusting to some additional responsibilities again. Ugh... It's going to be a rough week.

Coffee + Whiskey anyone?

Climber, That sucks about the inlaw. Tell her she can just put it on the market and see how it goes then. Home buying is negotiation. Is the home in your family or the wifes? If it's in the wifes you may be best to walk away.

Yeah but what can you do? Neither of us had the funds for a hotel along the way so laying over anywhere would have meant sleeping long term in the truck. We thought seriously about your offer but a late start in Nebraska would have put us into your place around midnight Wink

So we decided to just deadhead it it get home and see the families instead.

On a side note, saw some awesome wind farms... I thought they were kind of cool, not eyesores. Dunno what everyone's gripe is.

charley, it's in the wife's family... complicated situation that has aready tanished relationships in the family before we decided we'd like to stay here... it's been our home for a few years already.

One of the sisters happens to be greedy, she also happens to be the execuator of the estate. I'm still on a self imposed "can't talk to her" rule... as I WOULD speak my mind.

More or less, it's a "between a rock and a hard place" situation. We have other options that are equally as hard (overall) we can go... though we have put the effort in this far already. It would be nice to see it though.

Climber, I don't know how your wife feels and I would bet you don't either.Laugh Her sister will always be her sister even if she is a greedy bitch. It may be easier to find another place to buy than fight the family. The other sister mey change her mind when you tell her you're looking elsewhere.
Good luck.
