Going climbing at the New River Gorge over in WV around mid June. Looking for information on the place. What are the classic routes/boulder problems? Where can I get a guide? Any free camping? Let me know what you know about the place.

Try this.

Or even more specifically, this, this, and this.

For guiding, you should check out New River Mountain Guides:

http://www.newriverclimbing.com/climbingcourses.html

Pickup up the Cater guidebook for roped routes:

http://www.amazon.com/...debook/dp/0967827043

The bouldering guide is out of print, but stop in at Waterstone Outdoors for more info:

http://www.waterstoneoutdoors.com

And finally, Roger's campground is a popular climber campground. Inexpensive and close to climbing (near Kaymoor)

There is a guidebook currently out but a new one that is coming out in june ( will be MUCH nicer. )

I'm sure you can pick one up at Waterstone which is in fayetteville.

There is $5 a night camping at Rogers (rocky mountain campground ? ). It's a cool scene but if you need your sleep bring ear plugs.

Ive only climbed in the area known as the Junkyard, multiple classic climbs there to check out. I would suggest 3 sheets to the wind, Yosemite, and team jesus.

I can't imagine Roger's being too loud in June. Maybe on the weekends it will be though.

I'm about a week away from giving up the job search and moving to Roger's for the summer so shoot me an email before you come.
