Yesterday I went up to climb Little Baldy. After having fun for a while there, and getting plenty sunburned and dehydrated, we decided to check Moro as we heard the anchors were all pulled. We stopped at the Giant Forest Museum to check on closures, the rangers called all over and noone knew anything about any closures, and there was nothing posted. We ended up TRing "Pennies on the Patio". Does anyone know if there is not going to be a closure this year?

I climbed Moro Rock (Sequoia National Park) about two weeks ago. The anchors were there. So unless someone ripped them out since then, the routes I climbed, at least, are copasetic. However, the road to Chimney Rock was closed. Falcons are nesting; the area is closed to climbing. Maybe the birds moved the party there from Moro Rock. Just because the staff doesn't know about closures doesn't mean they aren't happening. I called the park ahead of time and was told nothing was closed. Then there was a gate blocking the road to Chimney Rock. Uh huh.
