http://www.prana.com/blog/?p=1565 saw this blog entry about a 17 year old being the youngest person to get the Seven Summits. was wondering what others think about this, as to whether it is a noteworthy accomplishment. doesn't seem that special to me with the kid having enough free time and a wealthy father to support him.

Good for him, he certainly has a financial advantage I could only dream of growing up, but at least he's out there doing something instead of cruising around Malibu in dad's Mercedes getting high. We don't get to chose a lot of things in our lives, but you can always chose to make the most of what you have.

Yeah, he was interviewed by Kevin and Bean or Bob and Tom the other morning. I can't remember which show. I was on my way to work when I heard it. Doesn't it suck being the weekend warrior sometimes? Especially when you hear of these awesome accomlishments. Maybe in my next life...

while i am of course uber jealous that someone so young is able to do something like this, I think it's awesome that he has the opportunity. Maybe we have the next generation's Ed Viesturs here?
