So I'm headed to the Red next month for the second time. I'm looking for the best places to maximize time on moderate trad routes preferably 5.6- 5.9. Ideally these routes would be good beginner cracks. Bonus points if you can direct me to a crag that stays dry in the rain.
I use the Ellington guide (awesome) and I realize most of those questions are answered in it. The problem is that the Red has so much to offer I really dont know where to start with the guidebook.

Update-
The forecast for this weekend is turning to rain in true 2009 spirit. Anyone have any legitimate beta about rainy day crags? And I'm still pushing the trad thing if possible.
I suppose I'm fighting the masses with this knd of plea. A lot of traffic at the Red on Memorial Day weekend.

Fortress wall has good beginner and moderate trad lines, and (depending on wind angle and such), it stands a good chance of staying dry. I've never been there in a full on rain shower, but shortly after a big storm the rock was dry, which was a good sign.
There are also some sheltered crags in Muir, but if heading there on a rainy day, be prepared to wade through a few streams.

Do an Advanced Search on Ellington's website. It's also more up-to-date than the printed version. (new routes, etc)

at a glance, it looks like Fortress Wall may be a good bet.

Anyone have a list or know of cracks worth getting on from 5.daycare - 5.9? Torn between going to the RRG and NRG.

You want to go to the Red and go to the Fortress, it has the most moderate traditional lines in the Red... also hit up the Roadside Attraction 5.7 at the Roadside crag not to far away is Lady Slipper/Global Village with some good moderates... Pebble Beach is worth a visit too... Environmental Impact is a great 5.7 crack.
