im just starting a trad rack

Looks like a good start.

I'd suggest getting some trad draws (24" slings with a couple of biners).
I personally carry 6 trad draws, four 12" slings, a few 48" slings and usually end up using most of them on a regular pitch.

I went climbing yesterday, loaded a pack that was absolutely stuffed with gear into the truck, then drove out to Vedauwoo. It was not until I got to the trailhead that I realized that I had accidentally left all of my wide gear at home, so one of the routes I wanted to do was right out.

That's right, with a pack holding 21 cams, none of them were larger than an old #4 camalot, and that meant that one (or more) of the routes on my to-do list was completely unprotectable.

Not just runout in spots, not just with less than optimal pro, without my fat stuff, this route would be a solo. All because I'd foolishly left a third of my rack at home in a different bag.

Not as bad as the day when I had to clear my hands-rack off my chair to get to the computer, but still.

If you want to pay for them, sure. Other wise, it's more a 12-year-old-boy esque.

I see that you placed your gear on the garage floor. I think you better send it all to me in case it was exposed to battery acid or some other corrosive chemical.

Photo in pieces because my room is tiny.
I don't drag things like the 8, or rescuecender (for tr solo) up most climbs. And i don't think i've ever climbed with the large hexes let alone placed them, nice and shiny still.

The size I really want is the #3, but if I can't source out a full set I'll consider your offer. Does it come with a matching BD Neutrino??Wink

Edit: or would you consider selling it?

Well ... I'm so cool that I've got four sets of Aliens. Laugh And all the C4's a guy could want.

I thought I was covered, but I've been hearing so many good things about the link cams that I may just have to try them out. Guess I'm gonna have to shmooz the wife for some play money.
