I knwo everyone has a "perfect move" that only they can pull off, or it looks so cool, it simply kills the others in your add-on game. So... anyone?...

I'm all about the high step. I can high step higher than any of my friends. Also, because I'm 5'10" and 130 pounds I can pull up off smaller stuff then my bigger friends.

I prefer hard bits. Mostly with cRImPs! I like 'em few and far between. The thinner the better. I put up a route in my town gym. No one could do it for months. They made me take it down to use the holds "somewhere useful!"

I like tips/thin fingers (0 and 1 TCU sized, can't get the first knuckle in) and I like off fingers (thumb stacks, ringlocks, ungodly-tight-hands) ... hard work and gnarly technique but very rewarding. Generally you're climbing pretty darned slow and really milking jams, and the footwork gets intense 'cause it's damned hard to get good jams in thin cracks...

Steep splitter fingers is also pretty excellent

I love dropknees because they were the first thing i learned way back when to keep my balance. I also like laybacks.

Pure stemming- when the only way to keep yourself up is to do a full split and slowly hop up the wall- no handholds to use

I'm pretty flexible. My all around favourite is a hand-foot match heel hook into a high step rock on. Requires a large hold usually, but it helps me play add on with some of the taller kids.

My current favourite move is from a problem at the gym involving a dyno out of a drop knee through an opening in two overhangs into a tight dihedral to a jug for one hand.

matching, knee dropping, slopers. i love those. and stupid underclings, requiring lots of body tension. oh and long dynos. and the move where you only have one foot on a foothold and usetheothe topush/turn your body towards the hold. most people have problems with that, i dont know why.

Heel hook and mantle combo for roofs, hand foot match and the old heel toe move in off fist cracks. I hate slopers!

dual gastons or sick crimp/highstep rockover moves...on my project, you move up off a shitty rest into a kick ass dual gaston that looks freakin' awesome if you're watching it being done. After a few more moves of crux, you throw for a two finger pocket, high step to a razor blade crimp, then bump again to a really sh*t pinch, then hope you can move your left leg up--all a good three feet above your last bolt--nice whippers!

using tiny edges (read: foot jibs) for my hands...yay freakishly small hands. Oh, and I like crossing over with my feet to avoid switching feet, but thats not really all that spectacular.

i can levitate my body using my psychokinetic energy combined with mind altering chemicals to send an entire route without touching the rock. no, i am not telling the truth. i dig torsion rolls. the one foot hold/ use the other leg to roll your body toward the next hold to give yourself a little more reach move.

The figure four! Oh yah. It's actually GREAT on overhangs. I'm pretty short and have a negative ape index, and have found that the figure four really extends my reach. (Figure four is when you hold on with one hand and put your opposite leg over that arm). Only problem is you need a relatively large handhold.

The trick is to put your thigh in the crook of your elbow, and use your foot to push against the wall and twist your body. It's like having a foothold where there isn't one.

My other favorite one (which is more useful) is this dynamic flag I do. Everyone who sees it is like "woa, that was cool." It's kinda hard to describe. Picture yourself on a wall. You get a right foot up high and stand up and grab a right hand. There's no left foot and if you let go with your left hand, you barndoor. What I do is flag under my right foot with my left leg-- really big, bend the right knee a lot. Then swing that leg out left hard and stand up. The momentum will keep you from barndooring while you stand and give you a pretty sizable boost.

It's really a great move, and I use it all the time. You don't need a big hold or anything special either.

My newest combination that I'm working on with that move is to place my left foot right after I kick it out left, so it's kind of a multi-step dyno. I don't have the coordination yet to do it though.
