Way back in March I attended the Access Fund’s Land Acquisition Summit at Torrent Falls in the Red River Gorge, where representatives of the AF made a announcement about a pretty big idea – and asked us all to keep quiet about it. The announcement was not to be public until the AF raised enough money to make its big idea a reality. I was there as a representative of a local climbing organization, but also as a member of the press, so while I wanted to help out and keep it quiet, I was also dying to spill the beans. In the end I kept my trap shut. Well, the big idea is public now, and while some of you may have heard of it, I’m betting most haven’t.
