So does this mean I would have to chalk up EVERY time I fell or completed a route? not to mention drying my shoes. Or are the routes just so easy that u don't need chalk or shoes to do them.

Judging from the line of waiting boulderers off to the side, this looks like it's geared towards the hardcore. I'm gonna say that shoes and chalk are a must. I'd also consider bringing the chisel. I'm all for the bouldering swimsuit edition. I've got my speedos ready to go.
