Sometimes i get a rather strange behaviour when uploading an attachment. At first i get about 10 seconds of no reaction, while my browser is trying to reach rockclimbing.com, and then i get to the http://www.rockclimbing.com/cgi-bin/forum/gforum.cg page, but in source code, sarting with
aee HTTP/1.1 100 Continue and 50 HTTP/1.1 100 Continues later
HTTP/1.1 100 Continue HTTP/1.1 200 OK Date: Mon, 07 Sep 2009 08:21:22 GMT Server: Apache Connection: close Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html c439 and so on. When i go back, its all ok, but my attachment has been uploaded 4 times. Just thought you migh want to know. doesnt happen everytime, but often enough to notice. However i cant give you any valid percentage, since i don not upload attachments that often. And to make this complete: Mac OSX 10.4.11 Opera 10.00 Beta qwert

Ok, had it again. a few additions: Maybe it changed, or maybe i got it wrong, but after the "source" page i have to go back, and then clip "upload attachment" again, and after this it is uploaded 4 times. And some random letter+number combinations pop up in the source. like this:
cc9 HTTP/1.1 100 Continue HTTP/1.1 100 Continue and again alot of those continues. or this:
Transfer-Encoding: chunked Content-Type: text/html b897 <html> <head> or this funky number:
styles.push([['#708585'],['#708585'],['#405C5D'],[''],['1px solid #405C5D']]); styles.push([['#6c8752'],['#6c8752'],['#26430d'],[''],[ b50 '1px solid #26430d']]); or this:
<a href="/cgi-bin/routes/review.cgi?username=qwert;sb=Review_ClimbDate;format=short;mh=50;nh=1">Climbing Log</a> <a href="/cgi-bin/photos/ 5a8 bookmark.cgi">Photo Albums</a> <a href="/cgi-bin/videos/bookmark.cgi">Video Playlists</a> and a few more ... So am i going to die beacuse i found a secret code patern? Maybe it is because its opera beta? I will try a bit with other browsers, how those behave. qwert

Yes, this is strange. My guess is that it has something do do with the beta version of Opera. Let us know if you see this with any other browser/version.

Safari 3.0.4 (523.12.2) works too. Actually the upload seemed to be the fastest so far. Quite strange, since safari is normally a slow POS. Load times on the forums, or trying to reply are abyssimal. qwert

Opera 9.10 same as 9.62. First try is slow, but uploads 3 times. Also (dont know if i just havent noticed that with 9.62) the numbers show up in the page, and some images are broken. See circled areas in the screenshots. Again, uploading the two screenshots works flawlessly. It seems the site has some serious problems with opera! (see also next post). While 9.62 and 10 run fine, 9.1 is choppy as hell (so slow that its almost unusable) and produces insane CPU load. qwert

And some more (please dont take it personal) As i just realized every other browser brings me to the homepage when i logged in. However with opera i get this: So i 5a8 am unknow unkown, but my email adress here is known? so to conclude: It gut much better compared to pre 9.62 opera versions, but this site still has some issues with opera. Opera used to have a nice article on how and why to make sites work with opera, and how to get support for that. Unfortunately i cant find it anymore. qwert Oh, and this time when uploading an attachment i got the same behaviour as with 9.62 and 9.10. Bar with code above the site, numbers in the site (eg. "P b50 ost:"; " 5a8 Delete attachment" ...)

qwert wrote: *snip* So i 5a8 am unknow unkown, but my email adress here is known? *snip* Really interesting! I did not type the "5a8"! so the numbers actually make the jump into what i have typed before uploading an attachment, including a new line. I really dont have any idea what happens here. But apart from uploading images (and the "welcome unknown unkown") everything works fine (with Opera10). Nor strange numbers in my posts, no insane CPU load, no double posts. qwert
