I am a mechanical engineer, and I have been out of school for almost two years and have yet to find an engineering job. Even if it is a long shot I would like to just get a chance at an interview for this job.

Laid off after 5 years on the job.....only problem is that I'm an EE, I would think they'd be more interested in a ME. It would be a long shot, but perhaps I'll throw my resume their way anyway.

Now they seem to spend all their time developing ICs. But yes, MEs usually have the luxury of a much wider range of opportunities... and that, my lady, is going to get you some arrogant competition for this one ;)
