What are the chances of getting a moble version of Rockclimbing.com? Facebook, Myspace, and google all have one. Why not us?

Why would you need a special version for mobile use? Most modern mobile browser are standarts compliant enough that it should work. If you want to save on data, just use opera mini. The only thing that could use some reworking is to make the posts more contrasting in a 1,1 pattern. Like first post black background, second white, third black, forth white, fifth black and so on ... Just maybe not black and white , as it would be quite painfull for the eyes, but you get the idea qwert

Lets say, there was one for Rockclimbing.com. What in your minds would you be able to do with it? What features would you like to see?

With the knob, there's constant scrolling side to side to read posts. And lots of big pages to load. Takes awhile. Posting and replying could be hugely simplified too. It's a pipe dream, I know. There's no money in it for the site. No ads = no money.

I dont have a blackberry at hand, but i suppose its the same as on my nokia. With the standart browser you have all the mentioned "features". And that why i suggest opera mini. Reformats the pages to make it more fitting on the small screen (albeit the result is not perfect, but it works) and runs the pages through a proxy, compressing them. especially on pages with lots of images or ads this safes a lot of data. but anyways, what are you going to do on mobile rc.n00b? You are not going to type lengthy forum replies on a keyboard thats going to cripple you fingers anyways if you are typing more than "STFU n00b". I think the uses are way to different betwenn facbook and this site to make them comparable. With some (a lot) of changes in this site i could see a mobile site becoming something usefull, but for now? Nice bonus, yes. neccessary? no. qwert
