Hey All,
I'm looking to plan a one or two night backpacking/climbing trip in southern california sometime soon, as I'm looking for any suggestions as to where to go.
I'll be bringing the wife, who likes to climb and hike, but I need to still keep things easy(ish). So I'm looking for somewhere in the range of a <12mi backpack with some light bouldering here and there.
Ideally, anything within a couple hours of Ventura is good. I know pine mountain is there, but we've been there and done that, and I'd much rather backpack in a ways.
Anything helps. I promise to post a trip report when we're back.

Im not sure how close you are, and I wont check. But Joshua Tree might be a good choice. It gets cold this time of year but easy hikes and tons of boulders. Oh an sorry for responding a few months late.
