Wasn't sure how to best ask that, so i'll elaborate. I've noticed that the small carpet that comes with the Mad Rock pads is pretty good for getting dirt/debris off of climbing shoes accumulated between climbs or whatever. I noticed that auto carpet is pretty cheap, so i was going to grab one for our next trip (i'm pretty sure the rear mats fit into the pocket of the Organic Full Pad). Does anyone know of something that works better than this? I don't imagine there would be, and the question is a bit on the inane side, but i figured i'd ask before i spend the eight dollars. Thinking something like these (the small ones) http://www.amazon.com/...55374112&sr=1-32

Best idea? Go to a carpet store and ask to see if you can get a small sample / piece of carpet. You're probably going to leave it behind or lose it one day anyways so you won't feel bad. And you can cut or modify it anyway you want to. All my rugs I got from when people were installing new carpet. Why pay for something just because it has a name etc?

No I did...you asked what the best carpet mat was for bouldering.... I replied with whatever is free. It's carpet...not really anthing to debate. Short stuff will last longer than shag etc. My point is why buy something you can just get for free? I had a great piece of low carpet that was great...but it didn't clean my shoes any better or worse than any other carpet or spitting in my hands. Again...it's carpet. Are you really going to buy it because it say's Mad Rock? Just go get a free piece instead of spending your money. Or if you are that desperate to spend your hard earned cash, send ME your money and I'll send you some carpet...that way we both win!! I hope you take this in a friendly way, I just don't see the sense in buying it. It's not going to be any different...I PROMISE!!
