Boxers and harness = damage

I find if one wears boxer shorts and you fall with a harness on and your leg loop is just a little loose you could very easily end up with a ruptured Testicle.

Boxers are just too freedom.

It's always better to fall without harness. No testicle damage then.

That's why most harnesses have tightening straps or elastic.

I usually don't wear underwear when I climb. I am also not really that careful. I have fallen on my balls a few times. It is generally not pleasant.

thats never happened to me and my harness is always pretty loose, even when I have it tightened all the way (I'm 5"2 and weigh 87 pounds, so my harness is too big, lol)

I once went climbing with boxers on, and I had a petzl calidris harness #2 size, and the leg loops are really big and difficult to get tight. It was really not a good day for me.

Mine used to do that but only when I was on belay. Turned out the problem for me was that I had the leg loops hanging to far down my leg, I adjusted the little elastic straps to pull them up higher on my leg and they have been super comfortable since.

Not enough guys put effort into strengthening their testicles. Sure a lot of dudes go to the gym every day and get all ripped and can bench like 200 pounds, and a lot of you on here can probably climb runout 5.12, but what does that all mean if getting kicked in the nuts leaves you sobbing on the ground. There's nothing impressive about a grown man crying and gasping for air.

Here's what you do. A couple times a day, for 15 minuets, you take a hammer and smack yourself repeatedly in the sack. Now at first, you're just going to be softly tapping them, but after a few weeks you should be able to strike them with more force. By the end of the year you'll no longer have to worry about saggy leg loops putting the hurt on your yarbles. Climb on.

Never had this happen to me and I've always worn boxers. Been climbing for almost 20 years....maybe some surgery is in order to suck up the sack a little bit. Wink

Testicular torsion is a bitch. I would hands down rather, break my nose or cheek bone, dislocate a shoulder, or hyper extend either an elbow or a knee, if I had the choice instead of a testicular torsion.

For all the women reading about issues with a mans sack, I'd rather give birth to a baby elephant than have an issue with testicular torsion ever again.

Massaging a nut back into place hurts. A lot. Boxer briefs, good support, and careful high stepping on slabs will keep your amigos happy and in place.
