I'm a big fan of 'Return to Sender'. It's even a little instructional.

Blood, Sweat, and Bagels is a pretty good humbling look at what it takes to attempt a free climb on El Cap. The Brits get shut down but in the end still get the adventure that they were looking for. I love the part when the tougher acting of the two guys starts whining about his mangled gnarled hands from the too many days jamming.

E11 is pretty decent, if a bit short.

Most definitely "The Sharp End" is my favorite movie dealing with trad climbing. Of course it isnt only dealing with trad but also with free soloing, high ball bouldering, and anything else that makes your palms sweat. "Blood Sweat and Bagels" is a wonderful movie that I enjoyed quite a bit as well.

Though not exclusively trad, I really like The Sharp End. Something about it always inspires me to climb scarier more runout stuff..

Claire is clearly a bad ass and really cool, and it wasn't so bad in E11 but they took it waaay too far in committed 2 with the whole "we're painting our house" thing. WTF was with that? [/rant]

"The Sharp End" "First Ascent" and "Onsight" are all brilliant films. first two are not exclusively trad though. Onsight is great because it makes you feel like a wuss for even thinking about clipping a bolt

That guy climbing at the sea cliff with the shit rock and protection.. then trying to onsight it also.... Damn that was impressive.

Hard Grit and Hard XS. British climbing films seem to get down to the climbing more and spend less time on the heavy talk and philosophising. You don't have to listen to Steph Davis giving you her opinion on the world at the end of these.....
