If you're not wearing a harness, you can always just clip it right onto your shorts with a biner. Just be sure to tie the drawstring, unless you're into the plumber's crack thing.

Tip chalk bag belts bring the bag uo your waist and are easier to reach during certain moves. I find that small biners work, but have some disadvantages. The bag is prone to swining and you have to reach DOWN sometimes. Chalk bag belts work well and are super cheap. TOclimber

it has already been said but: use cord or webbing that doubles as a prussik. this habit has saved me some trouble before...

duct tape dude! If u ever got to repair a harness or patch a nasty injury, u already got duct tape with ya! Plus its easy to acess cause the duct tape is already outside on ur harness right. seriously though, a chalk bag can be attached in any concieveable manner. it does not support any weight during a fall and is not a piece of safety gear so anything goes.
