Whew... don't scare me like that. I thought Dean kicked it... but then if it was in the injuries and accidents forum the title would have been green.

That's a really sweet flip though.

P.S. How's that trip report coming?

I'm not really into the whole slacking thing that much, but...

That is a sick flip. I saw another video recently where he finally landed one in a competition. Can you say Winner!?

why'd you choose this title, Majid? Dean was never a guy for doing tricks on a slackline.

Maybe he just had thoughts of kissing Dean on his mind. I mean, who hasn't at one point or another (what with that 'come hither' glare)?

It's interesting where slacklining has gone over the years. I'm not an avid follower, but I've had a number of people tell me that there's all manner of folk who can't walk a line for more than ten feet, but they can back flip it like nobody's business.

You are correct, there are a lot of what us Missourians call a "One Trick Pony" in the sport and I've had to adjust my slackline competition scoring system to accomodate them.

At Lander WY at the International Climbers Festival this year, we had someone nail a backflip dismount solid, multiple times, but otherwise they fell off just balance on one leg and had a very shakey walk.

Generally, the people with a good repitoire of above average skills usually take 1st at our events, rather than the ones who pull admitably amazing single stunts.

There are slackline competitions? When did that happen?

As soon as the first slackline went up & more than one person tried it.

Oh - did you mean formal comps?

As mentioned, I'm not really into the whole slack lining thing. I really don't know when these things started. Just happen to have seen some videos that are obviously of competitions.
